Program Overview:
Camp
Observant Eye invites young learners to slow down,
observe deeply, and explore art through hands-on experiences. Inspired by The Observant Eye at The Met, this camp
nurtures creativity, mindfulness, and storytelling through close-looking
activities, art-making, and interdisciplinary exploration. Campers will focus
on a single artwork, object, or natural form each day to develop their critical
thinking and observational skills.
Led by Professional Artists with Museum
and Art Education Experience!
Inspired by The Met’s Observant Eye program, our camp fosters
focus, curiosity, and critical thinking through close-looking activities. Led
by a professional artist with experience at The Met and NYC’s Children’s
Museum, we offer an engaging, interdisciplinary approach to art that builds confidence,
patience, and self-expression. Our highly trained staff come from Columbia University’s Teachers College and
NYU’s Art School, ensuring a top-tier art education experience. Campers
connect with nature and mindfulness while developing their artistic skills in a
nurturing environment.
